NESC is a multidisciplinary research and education center supporting basic and applied research in nuclear-related fields of science and technology and providing educational opportunities for students in these fields as a service to the public and The Texas A&M University System. TRIGA 60th Anniversary Kick-Off

September 23, 2021

The NESC kicked off the TRIGA reactor’s 60th anniversary with a VIP dinner and Aggie Tailgate in partnership with Comanche Peak and STPNOC. The celebration welcomed distinguished guests from the Nuclear Energy Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, marking a milestone for the reactor and the center’s continued collaborations.

The NESC released a new video celebrating the TRIGA reactor’s 60th anniversary, highlighting its history, mission, and future. The video officially kicks off a series of events honoring six decades of reactor operations and impact.
