To officially kick off the 60th Anniversary of the TRIGA Reactor, the Nuclear Engineering & Science Center collaborated with the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant and the South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) to host a VIP Dinner on Friday, September 17, and Aggie Tailgate prior to the A&M Football game vs. New Mexico. What a great partnership with these two amazing nuclear plants and a bright future of collaboration and partnership looking forward to the next 60 years.
Director-General of the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), William D. Magwood IV, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Nuclear Energy Policy and Cooperation, Office of Nuclear Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy, Aleshia Duncan, visited in recognition and celebration of the NESC TRIGA reactor. The NESC is honored by their visit, participation, and support looking foward to the future of the reactors and efforts within the NESC.
