Training

You are here: Home / Education / Training

The Nuclear Engineering and Science Center offers training to Texas A&M University Nuclear Engineering students pursuing their Nuclear Reactor Operator’s License and Senior Reactor Operator’s License. Students receive hands-on experience learning about and operating the TRIGA reactor. Students have the opportunity to work at the NESC while they complete their Nuclear Reactor Operator’s License, and Healthy Physics Qualifications, as they continue receiving the experience necessary to operate a nuclear reactor.

The NESC also offers training for industry professionals through an upcoming training series class and through continuing education efforts. More information on how the NESC engages industry professionals with training can be found on the Workforce Development page.
