The Texas A&M Nuclear Engineering Department released a new video showcasing its programs and facilities, featuring footage of the operating TRIGA reactor housed at the NESC. The video highlights the department’s mission and provides viewers an inside look at the center’s unique capabilities.

The NESC celebrates the 60th anniversary of its reactor’s first criticality with upcoming events, activities, and collaborations. Partners, former students, and community members are invited to share memories and participate in the anniversary celebrations.

The NESC and the Nuclear Power Institute are hosting a Science on Saturday event on October 23 as part of the TRIGA reactor’s 60th anniversary celebrations. Partnering with local schools and STEM organizations, the program invites K–12 students and the community to explore hands‑on science and engineering activities.

The NESC kicked off the TRIGA reactor’s 60th anniversary with a VIP dinner and Aggie Tailgate in partnership with Comanche Peak and STPNOC. The celebration welcomed distinguished guests from the Nuclear Energy Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, marking a milestone for the reactor and the center’s continued collaborations.
