On Saturday, October 23, as part of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary, the Nuclear Engineering & Science Center and the Nuclear Power Institute are coordinating a “Science on Saturday” (SOS) at the Wharton County Junior College (WCJC) – Bay City campus. The centers are partnering with Spark!, WCJC, Texas State Technical College (TSTC), and local NPI high school partners to put on this community event.

Science on Saturday (SOS) is designed to spotlight WIT’s enthusiasm for STEM and ignite an interest and experiments, hands-on activities, and demonstrations on a variety of science and engineering topics. Past events have included activities related to robots, virtual reality, building and structural challenges, health science, and aerospace engineering, among others. All K-12 students, parents, educators, and community members are invited to participate in this program.
